A Gender-Neutral Green Baby Shower

This weekend, we gathered to celebrate my precious cousin and her first baby with the most beautiful gender-neutral baby shower! It was one of those events that just felt good from start to finish—filled with love, hues of green, and thoughtful touches that made the space feel incredibly special.

Green was our core color, and it set the tone perfectly. The tables were layered with floral printed linens in green and white, topped with scalloped placemats and natural woven rattan chargers that added warmth and texture. We tucked custom menus into striped linen napkins and tied them with sage velvet ribbon for a tailored finishing touch.

The green hobnail glass goblets might have been my favorite detail—they brought such a pop of charm to each place setting and paired beautifully with vintage-style champagne flutes. Cane-back chairs were adorned with more green ribbon, adding a soft, cohesive element all around the room.

Fresh florals took center stage, of course. We kept the arrangements low and full, using green hydrangeas, creamy white roses, lisianthus, and lush greenery to create centerpieces that felt garden-fresh and classic. On the welcome table, we added ginger jars, framed baby photos of the parents-to-be, soft baby clothes, and a keepsake box for guests to leave wishes and words of encouragement.

And let’s talk dessert: we served a decadent Nothing Bundt Cake (chocolate chocolate chip, always a favorite), surrounded by a variety of soft-baked cookies from a local bakery. I displayed everything on my favorite beaded silver serveware to add a touch of shine and elegance without being fussy.

This shower reminded me how beautiful simplicity can be. The mix of greens, natural textures, and personal touches made everything feel heartfelt and timeless—just the way a celebration should.
