A Spooky Fun Kids’ Halloween Party

A Halloween themed night at home might just be my favorite kind of fun — especially when it involves pizza shaped like a jack-o’-lantern and a table full of giggles. This little dinner party was such a hit! Between the themed treats, playful décor, and a monster mash dance party, it was the perfect little family night together.

For the table, I went with a black, white, and orange color palette accented by spider web placemats, skeletons (of course), and oversized spiders.

At the center of the table was our jack-o’-lantern pizza, which was almost too cute to eat (almost!). I ordered this from Papa Murphy's Take & Bake and it was $11! Can't beat that! We love the Trader Joe's dough and I was going to go that route, but wanted to try something a little different and it was great- they kids loved it.

We also served up:

  • Candy “brains” that were equal parts creepy and delicious.

  • A bubbling “slime punch” that glowed neon green in a plastic cauldron. (The hit of the night and Leo's play date the next day)

  • A tray of mini cupcakes and donuts decked out in orange and purple frosting — perfect for little hands (and sugar lovers).

To balance out the treats, I added a few easy sides like baby carrots and popcorn mixed with candy corn.

After dinner, we spent some time coloring a haunted castle (an easy, low-mess Halloween activity!), and of course, we had to finish the night with a monster mash dance party. Watching the kids show off their best spooky moves was the perfect ending to the night.

Whether you’re hosting a big bash or keeping it cozy at home, a themed dinner like this makes the Halloween season extra magical!
