This year's Halloween setup might just be my favorite yet. The moment I spotted these Halloween bat plates, I knew they would be the centerpiece of my design and I was easily able to base the rest of the table around them!

To balance the whimsy of the bat motif, I leaned into a moody color palette of black, gold, and deep olive green. A velvet tablecloth grounded the entire table, while cute gold edge scalloped black chargers balanced it out. For flatware, I used my gold utensils, which I've used time and time again and also pulled together the gold accents on the table.

I'm truly obsessed with these gold “blood-drip” candlestick holders . These suckers are so big, so heavy, and absolutely stunning! I absolutely loved them as soon as I opened the package. Topped with chunky black pillar candles, they were perfectly spooky!  And of course, I couldn’t resist finishing the look with these human bone looking taper candles-- a little creepy, a little playful, and the perfect conversation starter.

To play up the spooky details, I sprinkled in skulls of different sizes, including this amazing skull vase filled with moody deep red blooms and wild greenery. (Trader Joe's for the flowers, per usual).

And lastly, for the wall, I added a flutter of paper bats climbing up the wall—these come in handy every year. They instantly made the whole space feel immersive and tied the dining area together with the tablescape. This table ended up being the perfect blend of spooky and chic. If you’re looking to add a little magic (and mischief!) to your Halloween gatherings, a few intentional details can go a long way!
