One of my favorite ways to celebrate the summer season is with a festive outdoor table, and this patriotic-inspired tablescape is all about it! With Memorial Day around the corner and perfect weather in the forecast, it felt like the perfect time to pull out some red, white, and blue and gather under the trees. I like to use red, white and blue all summer long!

I used our outdoor folding table, which is almost a foot more narrow than our indoor dining table, so I had to be mindful of space—especially when it came to centerpieces. Instead of a long chinoiserie runner I had in mind, I opted for these amazing woven vases filled with fluffy white hydrangeas with just the slightest touch of blue that feel fresh and fit the space a little better. These cordless lamps are also the perfect touch as they are so slim yet pack a big impact and perfectly fill the empty space. Stay tuned for another tablescape with that runner- I just couldn't pass it up and am so excited to find a way to incorporate it into a different setting!

To create a layered, casual look, I used round woven placemats , dusty blue dinner plates, and the most beautiful scalloped red salad plates that add just the right pop of patriotic color! I love the play on this shade of blue with the bright red- it's just right! The red and white striped linen tablecloth anchors everything and sets a playful tone that works all summer long—from Memorial Day to the 4th of July to a simple backyard BBQ. The bamboo flatware is playful and adds warmth and texture, and the blue goblets tie the look together.

This is a table that transitions beautifully indoors too—just pull it inside and light a few candles for a cozy summer night. Whether you’re hosting friends or simply setting the table for your family this summer, creating something beautiful makes the moment feel worth celebrating!
